Max was a clingy dog. He loved Katie, and Katie loved him. It was Max and Katie, Katie and Max. Max knew Katie wouldn't replace him, but today was different.

--"Okay, Max, I've got a big surprise for you! I want you to be good and sit tight, okay?" Katie said, leaving and bringing back a medium sized box. She set the box down and opened it.

Max tilted his head, and sniffed the box. His tail was slightly wagging and he looked at Katie.
