After much more walking and talking I almost wanted to give up and just lay down in the grass in the middle of the forest and wait for the fungi to secrete enzymes that digest my body until I am one with the ground. But Phoebe's persistence wasn’t going to let me.

We finally made it out of the never ending forest and into a city. We didn’t know where exactly we were but cities were better than forests at that moment.

“Finally!” said Phoebe.

I sighed in relief.

We ran into the city and we followed Phoebe's lead. I didn’t know where she was going but I trusted her.

“So, where are we going?” I asked.

“A hero training facility.” She replied. “We’ll be safe there.”

“Wait. So we’re just gonna waltz right in there? Don’t you think it’s a bad idea for villain-looking kids to just barge into a hero facility?” I asked.

“They save villain kids all the time. I’m sure if we just explain our situation it’ll be fine.” Phoebe explained.

“Okay.” I said, unsurely.

Leo held on tightly to my hand as we followed Phoebe.
