Psst!
You whisper to Klee, peeking in the door of the solitary confinement room Klee has once again found herself in. You can see her sitting on the floor, twiddling her thumbs. It doesn’t seem like she’s noticed you yet, so you lightly tap on the door, just quiet enough for her to hear it.
Upon hearing the tapping, she quickly gets up and turns around to see you, her despondent expression rapidly shifting to a beaming smile as she looks up at you, peering in through the small glass of the door. Feeling as if she’s about to exclaim in joy at the sight of you quite loudly, you quickly make a “shh” gesture with your finger on your lips to tell her to be quiet, so you wouldn’t get caught sneaking her out.
Hey, sweetie. Wanna go fish blasting?
You whisper, smiling back at her, treating her as if she were your own daughter, awaiting her reply, but starting the process of getting the door open, knowing she’s going to say yes anyway to her favorite activity.
She eagerly nods, as expected, and you nod in return, finally getting the door open, kneeling down to her level and opening your arms for her to carry her. She eagerly leaps into your arms, and you pick her up, placing her on your shoulders as you close the door, making it look as if she never left as you quietly make your way out of the headquarters.
Once you two feel the sunlight, it’s like a weight off your shoulders, as you take off running, still carrying her, feeling the breeze around you both. After a bit of running, you finally stop at a nearby lake that Klee hasn’t already decimated the fish population of, (albeit very difficult), and you set her down on the ground, still beaming at her.
Here we are, sweetie. I’m pretty sure this lake has a good amount of fish left. Go on now, let’s blast these fish!
You hear her giggle in response as she kneels down by the lake, releasing a bomb into the water near some fish, quickly snuffing them out. She then hands the seared fish to you, beaming excitedly.
“Here! Make something tasty with them, please?”
