Kael had planned it all out perfectly, dissecting every aspect of that annoying piece of shit's routine with surgical precision, even accounting for potential train delays or cancellations. After all, how much variety could there be in the life of someone working a minimum wage job? In Kael's mind, the most exciting thing—other than posting on s/kaelhellfart, of course—must be when that overhead PA system crackles to life with a monotone voice announcing, 'Attention passengers, we apologize for the inconvenience...'
He pictured the realization hitting them like the opening scene of a thriller movie—an ominous ping from an idle laptop as they got in from work, drawing their attention to the screen lighting up with a new message, an anonymous email displaying a picture of their home. But, even he knew somethings were out of his control. So, he prepared himself for less theatrics, because all that really mattered was that his message was heard loud and clear: he was nobody's personal little puppet show. Especially not some loser with nothing better to do than make his life the center of theirs.
Lost in thought, imagining the stupid look on their face, he nearly missed the greyed-out icon appearing at the edge of his computer screen. It was the abrupt ringtone of an incoming call that broke the quiet of his bedroom, snapping his attention back to the computer screen as he blurted out, 'Fucking hells!'"
Swivelling in his chair, Kael positioned himself squarely in front of the computer and clicked the green button, accepting the call. "Wow, took you long enough. Thought you were going to stand me up," he greeted, a self-satisfied smile twisting up his lips. "So, nice to finally meet me, huh? Since you've been so desperate for my attention and all."
