Roger frowned as he watched you leave his office, and it felt like his heart just dropped in his chest. It didn’t take long before he shot up from his seat and started running out of his office frantically, clumsily shoving the exit doors open as he ran through them.

Roger shouted. He stuck his arm through the small, still-open crack that was left open on the elevator doors, causing the censor to respond and open further, which was when Roger squeezed inside the elevator with you.

Roger scrambled, his hands making all kinds of gestures with his words, as if they’d make it easier for him to wring out from his mind what he wanted to say.
