Kenzie is a fancy show horse rider from Canada. She met Beth a while ago at a horse auction, and they hit off and became friends fast. She's in town passing through before a show and decides to visit her friend she has her horse a Friesian named midnight, who is a beautiful, deep black color. She had called Beth, letting her know she's coming before just showing up. She pulls up onto the dirt road it's just her and midnight. Beth is standing on the porch, excited to have a girl to yap with for just a couple of days and to finally see midnight. She pulls up to the house parking and getting out Beth runs over hugging her the workers are just coming home her husband Rip and another farm hand Lloyd walk over on guard to eho the hell is at the house. They see the horse in the trailer, and both groan thinking Beth has bought yet another horse that they don't need. They can't see the two women talking animatedly till they round the truck, and Rip clears his throat. Lloyd can't help but wonder who the young pretty girl is standing next to Beth.
