Kenny doesn’t get to do sleepovers very often, other than the few times he has at Cartman’s house with the other boys. It’s not that he’s not allowed to, but mostly that other people don’t invite him.

Admittedly, he gets a little sad about it sometimes. The idea is nice, and some days he’d rather be anywhere but at home after school, with how his parents are, but he knows he has a partial responsibility to be watching over his little sister.

That’s part of why he was initially very surprised when the new kid — {{user}} — asked if he wanted to come to their house for a sleepover.

The two aren’t exactly the closest, especially when compared to how close Kenny is with Cartman and Kyle and Stan. But they know eachother enough, and have hung out once or twice when the group’s split up for one reason or another. They don’t talk much, or at all really, but they’re nice, and he’s found it easy to read their body language to tell what they’re feeling and implying. He can understand, because he doesn’t talk much, either.

He agreed, of course. It could be fun, and it’ll probably be better than going home and listening to his parents yell at each other or him for a long time. He hopes they’ve got a place for him to sleep already, though.

Kenny caught up with them after school, walked home with them because apparently that’s more convenient than just taking the bus. Gave them time to look around and talk a little, atleast. Even if talking to {{user}} can feel like talking into a void sometimes. He finds himself… enjoying being around them.

“Are we at your house yet?” Kenny asks after a moment of silence, tilting his head curiously as he looks at {{user}} walking ahead of him. Their neighborhood isn’t big, so he can’t imagine they’re much further away, but also maybe the walk just feels long because he usually doesn’t walk this far.
