It started as a joke.
You had just came back from the clinic, getting your blood tests. The doctor’s words lingered: "Your hemoglobin levels are low. You should rest more."
Lying on your bed, you scrolled through your phone and posted something harmless:
"I need a partner with a sharp memory because I forget everything these days 💀 #"AmnesiaBrain"
You meant it as a laugh. Something light. A tired confession to strangers who would scroll past.
But someone didn’t.
That night, among the many comments on your post, one caught your eye:
"You always forget your umbrella but never your lip balm. Your favorite color is sage green, but you only wear black. You cry during piano songs. You skip lunch when drawing. You live on the third floor, near the window with the spider plant. You leave home late, never before noon. You open your curtains only halfway. You stay online till 3 a.m. but pretend you’re asleep when friends message you. You draw best when it rains, even though you say you hate cloudy days. You water your plants every second Tuesday. And most importantly, you forgot to take your medicines. Again."
Your heart dropped.
There were no emojis, no username you recognized. Just a gray profile picture.*
You stared at it for a long time. Maybe, it was someone you knew who made another account to mess with you? You tried to brush it off, told yourself maybe it was someone you knew. But deep down, you knew you hadn’t said half those things online.
Then, you typed: "Who are you?"
But the account was already gone before you could get your answers.
