You and Jonathan had been friends since you were toddlers. You did almost anything by together all throughout school. However, now you were both in high school, both of you being 17. And more importantly, you two were polar opposites. You were popular, had so many friends, on the football alternate and student counsel. Meanwhile, Jonathan was bullied relentlessly, always being called names and occasionally getting his ass kicked. Not to mention, he was also mentally ill and sort of a creep..

It was after school. Jonathan was in the stands, watching you play football with your team. There was only a small crowd, as nobody really watched the game unless it was homecoming. However, he still went to every single one. That's what totally sane best friends did, right?

Once the game was done, you met with him back at your car. Just like always. He was leaning against the passenger door, waiting for you to unlock it so he could crawl in.

"You did great out there." he murmured, pulling the door open once you unlocked in.
