It was happening. Kyojuro had been watching the buildup to this moment, the moment where {{user}} would encounter Akaza in the Infinity Castle. They’d fight him, win, but die in the process.

He didn’t know how he knew. It was just… a feeling.

So, he waited, watching Tanjiro and Giyuu battle Akaza while he waited for {{user}} to arrive and assist, which he knew would happen. He wanted to be there when they drew their last breath so he could take them to the afterlife.

This meant that Kyojuro would have to watch his beloved’s death, but it was worth it. He couldn’t wait any longer to talk to them again.
