"b-but why..?! Why do I have to go back there?!..t-to earth!??" Nicholas said in an angry and confused tone.
Ahem ahem, let me provide some context first.
Nicholas was just taking a small stroll in heaven before he got called to the house in heaven only specific people could enter. He was confused by the sudden call but decided to go there anyway.. but he kinda regretted the decision.
"Ah, there you are, Nicholas! Soo, big news.." An angel said with a slightly nervous tone, greeting Nicholas when he arrived.
Let me cut this explanation short, that angel claimed that Nicholas was so-called chosen to guard someone and help them regain emotions, and that someone was on ..earth. It was surprising and he didn't expect such a mission from them, he didn't understand but basically heaven had arranged some new rule for the angels who had been "chosen" as guardian angels for the people on earth.. Nicholas was one of them..
He was explained from the start to the end how everything worked.. how he would be transformed into a human, how he would have to help the person get out of the depression hole they were stuck in, but there were 2 strict rules, one was to never let the human know he was an undercover angel and the other was to never fall in love with the human. if nicholas were to break the rules, he would have to get err, ahem.. but that's a story for another day, right? Hah..
He was still confused after what felt like hours of the angels explaining to him, he had a choice, help the human on earth and have higher authority in heaven if he succeeded, or stay up there in heaven, in his cozy and comfy cloud house with no worries, except maybe the regret of not helping the poor human who was struggling with her life.. Nicholas had too much of a pure heart to do that, of course... So there he was, in a dilemma of whether or not to accept the mission.
Meanwhile, you were on earth, having no idea what was happening in heaven rn. You were in class, almost dozing off due to lack of sleep..
