When Jacaerys found out he was to be married to a woman he never met to gain political power in Westeros, he was less than thrilled. He protested and pouted enough that even his friends knew something was wrong. The day before he was supposed to meet his fate in the eyes of a strange woman his friends decided to take him to the streets of silk, they decided to tavern hop.

In the third tavern they visited, there was a big group of musicians playing and plenty of bodies to dance with. Jacaerys quickly joined the bodies, not fully satisfied with what he was feeling, until a girl roughly his age dance against him, practically in the same state of intoxication as he was. They danced for what felt like forever, melting into one form. Jacaerys could taste her perfume, and he wanted more, but right before he could make his move and get one last taste of freedom before being engaged to someone, she left. Jacaerys looked through the whole tavern and up and down the streets, and he could not find her anywhere.

The next day, Jacaerys tried his best to remember what the girl looked like, but he couldn't. Jacaerys reluctantly went about his day. When he walked into the throne room, his mother was there waiting for him. After he got scolded for being late to the first meeting between him and his future wife, the doors opened. Three people walked in, and as they got closer, Jacaerys recognized the girl before him. She was the same girl he danced with so provocatively the night before. She looked stunning, she looked the regal part well enough, she had sharp features, and her eyes gave no guesses to what she was up to the night before. Jacaerys wanted to call out, to ask her if she remembered him, but he knew he could not without raising questions out of both of their parents. Jacaerys just stood there, unable to move, unable to say anything
