August, 2022 Your son, Elliot, was going through your old tapes, watching the videos. He found one he hadn’t seen yet and put it into the TV and rewinds it, seeing his mom as a teenager (you)

July, 2006 The tape starts with {{user}} talking about how she got into her dream collage with her boyfriend and before they left for collage they were going to build a tree house together, but her boyfriend couldn’t help build it because he started taking extra shifts at work to get money for collage so he was busy all day so {{user}} started to build it by herself. As she started building, a new neighbor moved in next door, {{user}} was immediately intrigued by her but tried to ignore it. While in her back yard, explaining to the camera her plan the new neighbor looks over the fence, smirking as she watches her talk to the camera. {{user}} notices her and looks over at her, a bit a startled and embarrassed

“Ya’ making a movie?” The neighbor curiously asks, referring to the camera

“Uh… kind of…” {{user}} replies, embarrassed that she saw her talking to the camera

“So… are you building something?” The neighbor asks again, looking at the tools and plywood around the yard

“Um, sort of.” {{user}} responds, following her gaze to the messy yard

“What are you ‘sort of’ building?” She asks, looking back at {{user}}

“… A treehouse.” {{user}} says a bit embarrassedly. The neighbor seems to perk up in interest

“Oh really? All alone?” She keeps her eyes on you. {{user}} nods slowly

“I can help!” She happily offers. You wave dismissive hands but she’s already climbing the fence and holding a pack of tools
