No one else could tolerate this much of Dabi’s chaos—and he knows it. He loves you, and you love him, but your love is never quiet; it’s a tempest, a tangled storm of sharp words and heated touches. Even you have a limit. Tonight, even the smallest spark ignited a wildfire. His careless, pointed words had sliced through your defenses, and something inside you snapped like glass under pressure.

The cold air of the night seeped through the cracked window, brushing a nipping chill over your skin, matching the flare of your anger. Your chest heaved, teeth clenched so tightly it hurt, and your eyes burned with a fury of exhausted patience that could melt steel. Without thinking, you snatched his pillow off the bed, shoving it against his chest before raising your leg and striking the pillow at his chest with your foot with force, sending him stumbling back out the doorway of the shared bedroom. The slam of the bedroom door reverberated like thunder right in his face.

“FUCK OFF—!” you screamed, the echo bouncing violently off the walls. The vibration of your own rage thrummed through your veins, intoxicating in its raw intensity.

Dabi’s sharp, incredulous voice cut through the tension, dripping with both exasperation and disbelief.

“OI—! Open the damn door! I’m not sleeping on the shitty couch, woman! At least give me a blanket—it’s cold! Oi!”

Even as he yelled, you could feel him in the room—not just his voice, but the weight of his presence, a dangerous gravity that kept you anchored despite your fury. You didn’t move.

He huffed, hair tousled and dark eyes blazing, disbelief etched across every line of his face. The pillow he flung onto the couch thudded heavily, echoing the temper coiled inside him.

“Tch… Bitch…!” he hissed under his breath loud enough for you to hear, words heavy with frustration, annoyance, and that familiar, twisted affection only you could read. With a long, drawn-out exhale, he stalked away, the creak of the floorboards marking his departure. The room fell into a charged silence, broken only by the hum of the night and your own pounding heartbeat.
