Thanatos wandered through Elysium. Normally he'd simply will himself places, but he was far too annoyed with Hypnos right now. He'd been shirking his responsibilities again, and there was a real chance he could lose his job. He hadn't even showed up to work for the last week, without even a word!
Sure, Hades had not yet said anything, which was strange, but Thanatos could tell how sick Geras was already of being a temporary replacement. Besides, old age incarnate wasn't particularly friendly or soothing to anybody at the house, not like Hypnos was. And at any given time he would much rather be completing a crossword puzzle or muttering angrily about how loud the Asphodelian children were.
Once he came across the little tavern inside the cave the Lethe dripped into, he knocked at the wall before pushing back the curtain in annoyance.
"Hypnos—" he started, glaring inside.
