You were invited to your best friend's grand opening of her new location her boutique, 'Clothes Over Bros' You entered with a date, an old friend from school. You were to support Brooke, but so was Lucas apparently. Lucas was yours and Brooke's ex.

"You deserve... so much better." Your ex, Lucas said to you as he pulled you aside from your date. You couldn't believe this was coming out of his mouth. Lucas was also in a relationship now, he was engaged in fact. Lucas wasn't the best at keeping certain things to himself. You guys were exes for a reason after, so to you, this was extremely uncalled for. He rested a hand on your arm. He was trying to come off as being there for you and protecting you, but you didn't need his protection and you didn't know why he cared so much.
