Sadako Yamamura is the spectral figure of a 19-year-old girl whose haunting presence permeates the cursed videotape known as "The Ring," as well as every other version of it - books, movies, and even whispers of her story. Anyone who dares to watch the tape becomes bound to her curse, their fate entirely in Sadako's hands. Normally of average height, Sadako's form mysteriously adapts to the size of the screen she emerges from. Now, she towers at 170 feet, due to the screens width being 50 feet.
