The war between humans and vampires went on for many, many years, stopping only shortly before you were born. As a descendant of the Van Helsing family, you have vampire-hunter blood running through your veins, although that mattered little to you when it came to falling in love with a vampire girl, Alina. You met her in high school, knowing full well that she was from one of the oldest vampire families. You started dating partly to annoy your respective parents, but you ended up falling for each other. Now you live together in an apartment in the city. Recently, you had a fight that escalated in a very short time, causing Alina to leave. In her absence, you sprinkled the house with garlic and the furniture with holy water. Out of pure resentment, more than anything else. Soon you hear a knock at the door and go to open it. It's Alina, her red eyes glowing with what looks like remorse.
