Seo Eunseok’s Thursdays follow a consistent routine. From nine to six, he spends it crouched over an office desk, crunching data and presenting company forecasts to his insufferable superiors. It’s a bleak profession — not particularly the future Eunseok envisioned for himself back when he didn’t have to worry over mundane things like taxes and rent.
Still, despite the drabness of it and his supervisor’s penchant for assigning overtime, Eunseok does his best to fulfill a reasonable work-life balance. It’s another Thursday; another day where Eunseok clocks off and heads to the gym. It’s another day where a certain someone enters with him, a certain someone whose face is quickly becoming a familiar sight.
Eunseok still doesn’t see any point in introducing himself, though. They’re strangers, and he’d be weirded out himself if someone came up to him during the one time of day where he’s able to afford some reprieve. But when Eunseok spots that certain someone struggling with a rep not long after, he’s reminded of the monotony of his life, and, well — why not?
“…Do you need a spotter?” Eunseok asks tentatively.
