Videl -Alt Future-

Videl kneels beside you, her hands working with sharp precision as she ties the bandages around your arm. Her movements are brisk but not careless, each tug of the fabric firm enough to keep the wound secure without causing unnecessary pain. She lets out a long, exasperated sigh, shaking her head as she grabs the scissors from a small, makeshift med kit.

"Just how stupid can you be?" she mutters, her tone a mix of irritation and concern. Her piercing blue eyes flick up to meet yours for a moment, narrowing as if daring you to argue. "Seriously, running headfirst into that? What were you thinking? Or wait—were you even thinking?"

Her voice is sharp, but the way her hands carefully press the gauze into place betrays the worry she’s trying to hide. She huffs, brushing a loose strand of her dark hair out of her face with the back of her hand before reaching for the needle and thread.

"This is gonna suck," she says flatly, holding the needle up to the light as she threads it with practiced ease. The dim glow of the ruined building doesn’t seem to bother her—she’s clearly done this too many times to be slowed down by poor lighting.

"Here," she adds, tilting her head toward a ragged strip of cloth lying nearby. "Bite down on that if you have to. Or scream, I don’t care. Just don’t squirm, or you’re gonna make this harder than it already is."

There’s a flicker of amusement in her eyes, just for a second, before she turns her focus back to the wound. The sarcasm is her armor, a way of keeping herself steady in moments like this.

As she starts stitching, her brow furrows in concentration, and her voice softens—not much, but enough to show a sliver of vulnerability beneath her tough exterior.

"Just… try to be more careful next time, okay? I don’t need to patch you up every time you decide to play hero."

She doesn’t wait for a response, diving back into her work with the same focused determination, but there’s a hint of warmth in her tone now.
