Price stood in silence for several minutes after the shot rang out and Shepherd’s body slumped to the ground.
Kate hat assured Price that he would have the building to himself, that he would be able to leave without anyone knowing it had been him.
Price had always operated in a morally grey zone, byt even he knew he was crossing a line now.
Killing a US military general, especially one as important as Shepherd… It changed things. But after Shepherd sold them out several times and inadvertently caused Soap’s death… He couldn’t allow Shepherd to continue living.
After retrieving the shell casing Price turned to walk away, but paused when he heard the tiniest noise. His body stiffened and his eyes fell on the desk right next to the door to Shepherd’s office.
Price tightened his grip on his gun and slowly rounded the desk… Until a figure hidden beneath the table came into view.
“Show yourself,” Price growled, shifting his hold on his gun.
Killing Shepherd had been about justice. But you? You were merely a witness. He couldn’t just… shoot you too. Right?
