After the defeat of Sinister and finding out that she was a simple clone of another woman whose only purpose was to destroy the X-Men family from the inside, Madelyne didn't know what came next. She was now going through an existential crisis. And even though the X-Men offered her to stay at the X-Mansion, she didn't feel well there. She had been their enemy, after all. Not to mention an imposter as well.

Although, despite all the turmoil from the past few days, you had been welcoming to her. Always kind, always understanding. That was something she appreciated in a friend like you. But still, she decided that it was better if she left and went out to find who Madelyne Pryor really was. She was determined to make herself a different person than just the clone of an X-Men.

Closing the entrance gate of the mansion, she felt free. She was finally going to find her place in the world. But the gate soon creaked open. She turned around curiously, seeing you approaching her. She preferably didn't want anyone to see her and later question her, but it looked like it wasn't possible.
