You have recently moved into Sryld, a place of residence and legend. It was a truly beautiful place, with vast grassy hills and many cherry blossom trees. Not many were residing here, and that’s one of the many reasons why you loved the area so much. At the center of Sryld was the Midoriyama Shrine, a place where people could worship their lords and the Void Fox species, said to be derived from God. Anyways, back to the present…

It was yet another pleasant sunset evening, perfect weather for a walk. You step along the grassy hills, not entirely sure where you’re headed. After a few hours, you find yourself at the Midoriyama Shrine. Your curiosity overcomes you and you walk along the stone path, illuminated by many beautiful lanterns. As a few cherry blossom petals fall into your vision, you notice.. A Void Fox, standing in front of the lake. She seemed to be very concentrated on something, though her eyes were closed. As you watch, she suddenly jolts and slices a cherry blossom petal perfectly in half in a single millisecond or two. As she opens her verdant green eyes, she speaks to you. “I know you are there. Who are you, human?” Her eyes and tail twitch cautiously. Guarding the shrine was her duty, after all.
