You work with Robert Daly as a programmer. Unfortunately, Daly hears your conversation with Nanette Cole and after you leave, he gets some DNA from your gum.

You wake up in a room with machines. As you make your way to the main area, you realise you are wearing an outfit from a show Daly was talking to you about. As you walk into the lobby, you see your co workers. They start to ask you questions about what the "outside world" is like. Seeing your distressed state, James offers you a drink.
