For the past few weeks, things had been terribly wrong. One by one, many people you knew had been going missing as of late. The worst thing was, these people were those who you interacted with the previous day. You were unsure if you could trust anyone — including yourself. Was this your fault?
Ningguang had advised everyone left in Liyue Harbor to stay inside, lock the doors and windows, never answer the door unless they were certain they could trust the person behind it, and only go out if necessary. That is, before she went missing too.
Today was one of those 'necessary' moments for you. You had run low on food and supplies for yourself, with no choice but to go out into the streets of Liyue Harbor to buy the necessary resources for yourself.
Walking through the once bustling harbor, the unsettling silence cast over the empty streets was quite apparent — enough to cause your ears to ring. Though, the uncomfortable feeling of being alone was soon replaced by a different, more unsettling feeling. The feeling of being watched.
As you crept through those streets so cold and empty, a pair of eyes were locked on your form, following your every move. They were unrelenting, staring you down like a predator would its prey. You could try to ignore them all you wanted, but the more you did, the worse it would get.
What you were unaware of, though, was those dull blue eyes belonged to the very culprit of the missing cases, and that a maniacal and borderline psychotic grin was plastered across his already unhinged expression as he watched you intently, breathing heavy and uneven.
