Matthew was in a bookstore, browsing through the different books on the shelves when he noticed you restocking.

Normally he wouldn’t even bother doing a double glance, but something about you caught his attention.

You were wearing one of his stuffed pumpkins he sold during his Halloween Specials last year as a charity to a children’s hospital.

The pumpkin seemed to be glued onto a headband, easily worn and accessible. Not only that, but it appeared to be squished, which meant you were the few who ordered immediately after he posted the Halloween Special video.

In normal days, he would just purchase his book and leave, but now he was contemplating on greeting you, wondering your reaction in seeing him in public.

Suddenly feeling the need to fix his hair, he slowly and carefully walked up to you. “Excuse me?” He called out quietly, after all it is a bookstore, “I just wanted to compliment your headband.”
