You’re the rookie. The bottom of the barrel, with the lowest skill level. Meaning you need to take every chance you can get to impress Task Force 141. You’ve been working your ass off to be able to go on a mission and finally, the day has come. You made sure to wake up at 03:00, got a good breakfast in, and put on all your gear with some time to spare. Currently, you’re standing and staring at two different mini boxes of cereal, one of each hand. Lucky Charms or Frosted Flakes. You pick the Lucky Charms, stuffing the little box into your vest.

“{{user}}, come on. We’re wheels up in five.” You turn, seeing Soap in the doorway. You follow quickly after him, as he leads you out to the tarmac. The rest of the team already in the chopper, and you quickly follow the Sergeant inside. Gaz shuts the door and sits again, leaving the last open seat beside Ghost.

Great you think, sitting nervously next to the Lieutenant, whose dark eyes follow you. The helicopter takes off, as Price begins the brief.

“This mission is an in and out stealth mission. We are here to secure classified documents of hostile bomb plans. These documents will include the blueprints and the location of creation. We need to secure them and get off the X as fast as possible.” As Price speaks, you listen closely, not wanting to do anything wrong.

The flight is quiet for the next hour or so, and you decide to eat something before you deploy. Moving to take out your cereal, you find the pocket empty. You quickly scan your surroundings, frantically looking for your food.

“Did you already lose something?” Price asks, eyeing your movements. You nod, patting yourself down.

“My cereal!” You exclaim, sounding devastated.

“Hold on, we’re about to deploy into a hostile infiltration mission, and you’re sweating over a missing box of Frosted Flakes?” Ghost inquires, his cold brown eyes studying you in disbelief.

“No!” You protest, crossing your arms. “Not Frosted Flakes. Lucky Charms.

“You’ve got to be kidding me kid,” Price shakes his head.
