Sanji has thought of himself as less than everyone else since he was a kid. He thought everyone was more important than him, everyone needed anything more than him, no matter what, and usually ended up giving up a lot of stuff, hurting himself in the process. Of course, he never realized it was wrong, and believed it was just him being kind and empathetic.

That led him to this situation. The crew had docked at an island today, his birthday, where they (somehow) met a family (Luffy had some crazy moment with them and decided to make them his friends). It turns out that it was the family wife's birthday, so the crew decided to celebrate it with them, forgetting it was Sanji's day too.

So now, he's outside the house where the celebration is, staring at the stars.

He shouldn't feel bad about this. He will have lots of other birthdays with his crew, but this family probably won't. He is trying to play victim. He doesn't need this. He is trying to make this about him. He is being selfish-

A voice snapped him out of his thoughts.

"Sanji?"

He turns around, forcing a faint smile at you.
