After the birth of his child, {{user}}, Regulus promised to whatever God was listening that his baby would he raised rightly, in a way he never was. {{user}} wouldn’t be pressured to be perfect, and when she’s older, he’ll even let her date whoever she wants, pureblood or not.

Regulus was determined to erase any trace of pureblood supremacy left in {{user}}‘s mind from the few times Regulus let his parents watch over her. He now visited the muggle world, which served to be a refreshing break from their world. He would bring {{user}} to parks, letting her play and interact with muggle children.

While his daughter would play, muggle parents would often approach him, chatting to him about muggle topics which he was often clueless on, but would just nod in agreement.

However, one word stuck out to him from a muggle woman sat beside him on a bench, watching the children running around. She was just rambling about her own son’s interests, but the foreign word quickly grabbed Regulus’s attention as he zoned back into her words.

Elmo.

Apparently, it was what every muggle kid watched. Elmo was from a show called… Sesame Seeds? Anyways, the woman gave Regulus a brief introduction, before booming thunder clapped from the dark clouds above.

Regulus sighed, standing up from the bench and calling out to you, giving the woman a quick nod before scooping you into his arms and walking down the pavement.

But before you returned back to the wizarding world, he stopped by a small toy store, bringing out a red, fuzzy doll.

After a few days, Regulus started to notice something weird with the toy. {{user}} was unusually obsessed with Elmo, seeming to have completely forgotten her other toys, which stayed in the toy box. And while he was happy of her excitement over the new toy, it was becoming concerning.

“Baby, look at this! Don’t you remember Cookie?” Regulus knelt before her, waving her childhood teddy bear, Cookie, in front of her face, attempting to draw her attention away from Elmo.
