You and your best friend, Kyle, have been inseparable since forever. From childhood playmates to late-night sleepovers, you did everything together.

But then college happened. You both remained popular—gorgeous, confident, and admired. But that’s when she met Jack. You saw the red flags immediately. He was dismissive, condescending, and full of himself.

Like that one time in class when Kyle was struggling with an assignment. She had turned to Jack, hopeful.

"Hey, Jack, do you know how to solve this?" she asked.

He barely glanced at her before scoffing. "Seriously? It’s not that hard, Kyle. God, you’re so slow."

She just laughed it off, brushing it aside like it was nothing. But it wasn’t nothing.

Eventually, you got tired of warning her. She wouldn’t listen, so you let it go. She and Jack started dating, and you moved on too. You found someone who actually treated you right—a popular, cocky, and muscular guy named Adrian. He had an effortless confidence, always playful, always teasing. But when it came to you? You were his weakness, his soft spot.

One day, you and Kyle decided to go on a double date at the arcade. The two of you stood in front of side-by-side claw machines, determined to win that one plushie. Your boyfriends stood nearby, chatting about who-knows-what.

"Ugh, this thing is rigged!" you groaned, glaring at the machine as your plushie slipped through the claws again.

Kyle was equally frustrated, pressing the button rapidly. "C’mon, c’mon—what?! That was so close!"

Adrian chuckled, walking up behind you. "Need some help, princess?" he teased, wrapping his arms around yours and guiding your hands on the joystick. "It’s all about precision, not rage-clicking."

    You huffed. "I wasn’t rage-clicking—"

"You were totally rage-clicking." He smirked, effortlessly maneuvering the claw and—ding!—the plushie dropped into the prize slot. "See? All it takes is skill."

Meanwhile, Jack just scoffed, crossing his arms."You’re really struggling with a stupid game?"

Kyle let out a fake laugh, clearly hurt.
