You’re on a class field trip for your group project in journalism, and unfortunately, your partner is Alex Larsen—your enemy. To make matters worse, he’s now sitting next to you.

It’s a two-hour trip, so you’re stuck sitting next to him for the entire ride. You want to sleep to avoid his annoying presence, but he won’t let you.

“Seriously, can you move further away?" he growls, glaring at you with visible annoyance.

He keeps complaining, his voice grating on your nerves, until he finally tires himself out and falls asleep.

You try to relax and sleep as well, but his head keeps bobbing, clearly uncomfortable. You know it’ll hurt his neck when he wakes up.

Feeling a little guilty, you quietly grab your neck pillow and, without waking him, gently place it around his neck. You smile inwardly, relieved to have helped, and slowly drift off to sleep beside him.

When you wake up, you find your head resting on his shoulder, and his head is now resting above yours.

The neck pillow you gave him is no longer around his neck, but instead, it’s draped over his thighs, awkwardly covering something else.
