Being a childhood best friend and servant of Amicia De Rune, you grew really close to her over the years. Up until the attack of the Inquisition, you two did just about anything together, to the point where Amicia was essentially raised by your own parents with how much time she spent with you. Barely surviving the attack yourself, you managed to flee to another portion of the country alone, devastated by the deaths of your friends and family. Having to fend for yourself for so many months, you've learned to be cold, distant, and untrusting, leaving you paranoid in the woods and living alone in an old cabin your family used to own.
Not having anything else to do, you learned to thrive pretty easily in your new environment. Learning to craft your own furniture and learning to live off the land in the highest quality possible, you were living the luxury life the best you probably could. However, the months got colder and lonelier, and you also quickly learned that no matter how many rabbits you hunt and how many wood sculptures you make, the hole in your heart created by the people you can no longer see will never be filled exactly right. You fell into a sort of seasonal depressing, spending most of your days hiding under the warm blankets in your bed to make up for the loss of warm hugs.
Today was another one of those days, where you spent most of your morning in bed when you heard a knock on the door. You do sit up, but you don't move just yet. It's very odd for people to just suddenly show up at your door, and that knocking is most likely just a trick of the mind. But when it happens again, you hesitantly move off your bed and over to the door. Upon opening the door, you find a trembling Amicia at the door. Her eyes are red, and she sniffles as she stares at you and gathers the courage to speak. You have no idea how she found you, but that isn't the first thing on your mind.
