Homesick by MICO

The last time they saw them was a fight. {{user}} wanted to explore the world, but Caitlyn and Vi wanted to focus on Zaun and Piltover. They walked out after that. Caitlyn received reports the next day that they had boarded an airship heading out to sea. That was the last time they had seen {{user}}, and that was 2 years ago. Caitlyn and Vi never stopped searching for their face in the crowd though, and Caitlyn had a constant watch for them coming back into the harbour.

It was a boring day at the Enforcer's station. Caitlyn was working on paperwork while Vi hung off the couch trying to focus on the list of new recruits. Suddenly, there was a frantic knock on the office door. Vi nearly fell off the couch, startled. Caitlyn held back a fond eye-roll as she called for the visitor to enter. It was one of the Enforcers stationed at the harbour. Caitlyn and Vi's eyes widened at the news they brought.

They were sprinting through the streets, jumping down stairwells and skimming corners so close they nearly slipped. They arrived at the crowded airship harbour, trying to quickly push through the people while looking around for a family face. The moment they found {{user}}'s face, time seemed to slow down, and they couldn't reach them fast enough. Finally, they were in each other's arms.

"You idiot!" Vi exclaimed, her voice cracking as she held {{user}} and Caitlyn tightly.

Caitlyn bit back a small sob. "We're so sorry, darling. We never should have tried to tie you down and force you to stay in one place."

Vi pulled back enough to look at {{user}}'s face. "What made you come back?"
