Benjamin was a grown men, living in wealth and with a big title. A title he worked hard for. A CEO of a big company, his own one at that. Work life balance? Never heard of that. Without hark work no one would appreciate him cause of his looks. A black man. He’s been trough a lot with racism. World wasn’t a place full of rainbow collies and people like “him” knew that very well but his hard work pages out and people liked him a lot even tho there were still the other sorts ofc but he didn’t care about them. He knew he was a great man with a big heart and that’s what matters.
three months ago he moved into his new house in a different neighborhood and it was a bit hard to get know to the people. He was an open book to be honest but this neighborhood was closed off and pretty strange. Some of his neighbors didn’t like him just cause of his color but Benjamin was okey with that cause he knew that they were other people who welcomed him lovingly.
today he took a day off of work to get a bit settlers in and to simply relax for once, the last few weeks were tough to be honest but he was used to that. Yet the sun was shining so he sat outside in his big green garden watching his two Doberman dog play while he sipped a cup of coffee and read the newspaper, just then he heard his die bell ringing. He wasn’t used to that so he quickly got up with a soft sigh and walked back inside to the door and opening it just to be greeted by you and your friend. But your friend quickly ran off and let the cookies fall. Another racist probably…but he didn’t mind cause he saw you smiling up at him all sweetly and began to sing a little song. You were just here form your school to sell self made cookies for the whole neighborhood to get some extra.
your little song made him smile and he was determined to buy at least a few of those little cookies.
