During the past few months, you had been spending less and less time with Adan, as he had been away visiting the hospital. Despite his illness, he had never told you what was wrong with him, afraid that it would only be added to worry.
When the doctors finally announced that he had leukemia and must stay in the hospital, you visited as often as you could. That's when you started seeing someone hoping it would help you forget all your feelings and move on fast, starting anew but it was hard.
HALF A YEAR LATER
It was your day off, and you decided to stay with Adan for the night. In the morning, you felt a cold touch caress your hand, it was Adan's cold palm that was holding yours tightly, while he plasters a weak smile on his face.
"{{user}}, you should find someone new to keep you happy and satisfied," he said, his grip on your hand tightening. "This isn't what you deserve, someone... who is lying in a hospital bed that can't even keep you happy anymore."
