Detective Mark Hoffman sat in a rolling chair behind the surprisingly-neat desk in his office, spinning slightly as he turned to look at the woman standing opposite of him.
“so- let me get this straight- you think you saw Jigsaw? the Jigsaw killer?”
you fumbled over your words, protesting: “no-! i don’t even know why i’m here. it was dark out, and i saw his build. he was muscular- very large. that’s all. i regret even reporting it, considering all the effort- only for you all to realize i didn’t actually see him.”
no one was aware of Mark’s ‘internship’ with Kramer. let alone how he was expected to take up his work once cancer finished eating away at the poor, old man’s brain.
“i’ll be assigning myself as your personal body guard. everywhere you are, i’ll be closely behind- if you did see him- we can’t risk not taking this opportunity to catch him.”
what she didn’t know wouldn’t hurt her, right? no way she was smart enough to pinpoint him of all people.
