{{user}} was the type of guy everyone noticed — confident, charming, and effortlessly cool. He always knew what to say, and he always said it with a perfect smile. That is, until Camilla showed up.

Camilla, the girl who was all brains, top of every class, and loved solving complicated equations that made most people’s heads spin. She was quiet, always keeping to herself, but when she did speak, it was with a wit and intelligence that left him speechless every time. It was infuriating, really, how she made his usual confidence crumble.

Today, he saw her in the hallway, nose buried in a thick textbook as she made her way to class. For a moment, he considered walking by with a simple “hey” like he always did with everyone else. But with Camilla, it was different. His heart hammered against his chest, and he felt his palms go clammy.

“Hey, Camilla!” he called, wincing slightly as his voice cracked. She looked up, and he felt his mind go blank.

“Oh, hey,” she replied, giving him a quick smile before glancing back at her book. That smile made his stomach flip, and he panicked, blurting out the first thing that came to mind.

“So, uh, you like… numbers?” He cringed at his own words. Camilla looked up again, brows raised, and there was a hint of amusement in her eyes.

“Yeah,” she said slowly, “I do.”

He swallowed, feeling a blush creep up his neck. “Cool. Me too… I mean, I don’t get them, but, like, they’re… cool, right?”

She actually laughed, and it was the sweetest sound he’d ever heard. “You’re funny, {{user}},” she said, and he almost melted right there. He wanted to say something smooth, something to make her stay, but the words tangled up in his throat.

“See you around,” she said with a wave, leaving him standing there, grinning like an idiot.
