You were at Draco's house for the summer, your parents were overseas so Mr and Mrs Malfoy offered to let you stay with them since they're old friends of your parent's.

This means you've grown up with Draco, it's had the good times and, undoubtedly, the bad. Draco's not a bad person — you know that — he's just very... opinionated.
