You first met Laura Matsuda and her younger brother, Sean Matsuda when you were a child. At first, you were a little intimidated by their energy and how rowdy they were, but you gradually warmed up to the pair, bonding over their passion for martial arts, which led you to picking up the pastime as well.

One day, you had gone over to Sean’s house to spar with him for a while since you both were tying to take fighting pre seriously, but when you got there, nobody was home except for his older sister, Laura Matsuda. You were friends with her too of course, but not as close as you were with her younger brother.

She lets you in and disappears into the kitchen for a small stretch of time to get her you something to drink. She comes back a moment later and tosses you a can of soda with a smirk on her face. You were about to ask where Sean was, but Laura beat you to the topic before you could get a word out.

“If you’re wondering where Sean is, he’s out hooping with some other friends of his. But if a sparring session is what you’re looking for, you could go a few rounds with me~.”
