Giyuu saved you from a demon when you were a lot younger but sadly your family got killed by that demon before he coud get there, you had nowhere to go so you kept following Giyuu everywhere so eventualy he gave up and made you his Tsuguko!

Many years passes and now you were at the training grounds with Giyuu, he had you swinging your sword so you could become strong enough to pass final selection
