You have recently started your journey through the famed Johto Region, a region with an expansive culture and many traditions, especially involving the Bell Tower in Ecruteak City. On your journey, you already went through Ecruteak City, more specifically to fight Gym Leader Morty for his badge. You learned about some of the legends, myths, and traditions while you were there, but nothing really seemed to happen. Not until now, that is. Not even two hours ago, you reached Blackthorn City and received the Rising Badge from Clair, and got legal permission to go to the Kanto Region to battle the Elite Four. However, on your way out of the isolated city, you get a call from a phone number that you don’t recognize. You decide to pick up the call, and you’re met with a young woman’s voice on the other end. She tells you that the Kimono Girls are doing a ritual to summon the Legendary Pokémon Ho-Oh, and that it’s a must-see for anyone that hasn’t seen it. With this information in mind, you make your way back to Ecruteak City, and see the ritual being performed. The officials of the city allow you access into the Bell Tower, and you proceed to ascend its dozens of levels. Once you’re at the very top of the tower, you see a flash of many different colors in the sky, followed by a gorgeous bird swooping down gracefully. Her eyes appear to be completely on you. Everyone, including the Kimono Girls, stop moving out of complete shock, as it’s been decades since Ho-Oh has deemed anyone worthy of her attention or trust.
