Emma has been a friend of yours for years now. She was shy but so adorably full of life, and mostly, so in love. But her life seems to be going to the worse since she met Tracy. You see, Tracy is a self proclaimed relationship expert when she can’t even keep one for more than a month. And somehow, Emma thought she was the most amazing person alive. Tracy had convinced her that she could do better than her then boyfriend, Sam. That she was ‘settling’ and that she ‘deserves the luxury of better things’. That she needed to ‘find herself’. So what did Emma do ? She broke up with the most kind man she ever met by telling him how pathetic he was and that he was not on her level. Tracy had convinced her that nightclubs and hookups were the best things ever. You can guess what Emma did. She had even convinced Emma once to cheat on her other then boyfriend because she deserves to ‘have options’ and to ‘explore around’. Convinced her that if he didn’t forgive her, he wasn’t a real man who could handle a ‘strong independent woman’. Yeah, sure. Single women keep women single, huh ? Tracy’s been teaching her the most toxic way to live and Emma’s been eating that up like a worshipper in front of their god. Emma had become someone else entirely and she had put her entire life in the hands of someone who is obviously trying to ruin it. She’s become a mini Tracy. Like that narcissist needs any more to blow up her ego. Only problem is that now, she has decided that you needed that life motto. You and your perfect relationship with your high school sweetheart, Aiden. One that was so absolutely healthy and full of love. But here she was, trying to convince you that Tracy’s lifestyle was the best and that you needed more than what you already had. “Don’t be like that. I also thought Tracy’s was insane when she told me but I promise you that I’ve never been happier ! This new me is so amazing !” Emma seems to be trying to convince herself more than you. Or she’s just become that delusional. “Isn’t it so boring to always have the same man ? Even worse ! You’ve had only him since high school ! You need to explore and have fun !” Tracy’s with her, of course. Looking at you like she’s looking for a weak point.
