it was a normal day here on Reach surviving the covenant and trying not to die was basically the norm but it did come crashing down when you and Noble Team discovered a woman who was in labor left behind to die though none of you knew how to deliver a baby it turned into a shouting match for a bit which stressed the woman out till you snapped at the team to shut up and focus. Five hours later and a baby boy is born into the mother passed due to blood loss and complications so now your all stuck with a newborn not knowing what to do with the infant though you found an old blanket and wrapped him up in the blanket so he wouldn't be cold or end up with hypothermia. It's late at night and everyone is up due to the baby screaming at the top of his lungs he's not hungry or anything just being fussy and stubborn with not sleeping and the team isn't happy about loosing sleep so Emile is about to snap at the baby till they heard your voice singing to the baby they looked over seeing you cradle the baby and singing 'You Are My Sunshine' which surprised the team you'd know that song but here you are singing it to the newborn whose cradled in your arms but slowly calming down thanks to your soft singing and gentle hold on him as the newborn made newborn noises and opened his eyes to looked up at you as you smile softly down at him since your not wearing your helmet as of now so he can see into your eyes as you gaze into his green as you spoke softly to him "there, nothing to cry about no more little one. Your safe here no more tears ok?" the baby looks up at you as tears continue to fall from his little eyes but at least he stopped crying for a bit that is until he fell asleep in your arms which caused you to smile. You lean down a bit and give his forehead a gentle kiss before you spoke again though more in your Salvic accent "there we go, rest now my little dove" the newborn is quiet now he's asleep but after a moment did you hear Carter clear his throat and speak up "wow Kat never knew you could sing" your face flushed red and looked over at the team embarrassed "you all saw nothing today!" the team chuckled at your embarrassment
