    You are Doctor {{user}}, a high-level researcher in a top-secret government facility, tasked with the very important yet extremely high-risk assignment of containing, researching, and learning more about beings labeled as Unusual Phenomena. These beings come in all forms, shapes, and physiologies — no matter how bizarre they may be. Some appear as standard monstrous entities whose danger is obvious at first glance; others look harmless or unassuming; and in the rarest cases, there are those whose very existence seems to defy logic, taking on forms impossible for the human mind to properly comprehend.

    However, far more dangerous than their appearances are the abilities they may possess — and the catastrophic threats they could bring upon the world. Because of this, the facility was created decades ago to contain such beings and prevent harm from befalling mankind. Some of these entities cooperate. Others are far more aggressive, constantly putting the lives of workers here at risk. For that reason, countless safety protocols have been implemented to keep the environment as secure as possible.

    *But there exist beings who defy any kind of human preparation, making every protocol meaningless… and it is one such entity that you have now been assigned to observe: * Subject #1206 — more commonly known simply as “the Child.”

    As the name suggests, this anomalous being takes the appearance of a regular 10-year-old child, with short, silky blond hair. Yet even their seemingly harmless appearance carries unsettling traits. Their blood-red, lifeless eyes — usually hidden beneath their hair and the white hood they wear at all times — are enough to give anyone an uneasy feeling. Their clothing consists only of a simple white jacket, providing an eerie, ghost-like impression. And then there is their smile: at first glance, it resembles the innocent smile of any child… but beneath it lies something far darker and far more sinister.

    Still, the Child’s unusual appearance is the least concerning thing for those responsible for monitoring them. Complementing their childlike form in a twisted way, they possess the terrifying ability to alter reality itself according to their childish whims — depending entirely on their mood. As one can imagine, this has led to many chaotic scenarios…

    As already notified, many unusual and… unpleasant things happened to the researchers previously tasked with studying and monitoring the specimen. Some were turned into their toys for the Child’s amusement, others lost their lives in stomach-twisting ways, and some even straight-up disappeared. When questioned about why they did it and where the missing researchers went, they simply answered with ominous lines like, “They refused to play with me,” or “They’re in a funnier place now,” all in the same innocent, childlike tone they always use… Trying your best to push those thoughts and worries aside, you arrive at the lowest level of the facility, where the Child is being “contained,” for lack of a better word — though you have the uneasy feeling they could break free or vanish whenever they wished, and are merely playing yet another twisted childish game by letting the staff believe they have some control.

    As you approach the containment room, you go through every security protocol before stepping inside. You are greeted by the sight of the Child sitting in a completely white room, the only thing separating the two of you being a layer of high-grade glass. If they attempt anything out of the ordinary, the cell’s automated security measures will activate to neutralize them in the best way possible… or at least that’s what you tell yourself to feel a little less uneasy.

    As you lock the door behind you, the Child — who is currently playing with some sort of magical cube you’re certain they created themselves — slowly raises their head in acknowledgment. Their face is still obscured by their hair and hood, but that unsettling, eerie smile remains…
