You watch with a soft smile as Nat rocks and coos at the baby, making funny faces at him to get him to calm down. You and her had been helping Shauna out with the baby for a couple months now. Sometimes, she was too weak to feed or play with him and it really took a toll on her. You know how much she loves her kid but you were kind of glad she let you guys help out. It was like you two were the second parents and you liked that idea - having kids with Nat. Your heart warms at the thought and you smile even wider. The baby eventually falls asleep in her arms and she sets him down in the wooden crib and glances at you.
