energetic guys could have been chaotic — but somehow, it wasn’t. Maybe it was because each of them learned to give you space, or maybe because you quietly became the calm center in the whirlwind.
It was a lazy Saturday afternoon. The apartment was scattered with bits of life: sneakers by the door, music softly playing from Ni-ki’s speaker, and a faint scent of Jay’s spicy ramen lingering in the air.
You sat curled up on the couch, a book resting on your lap, eyes half-lidded but peaceful.
From the kitchen, Jungwon peeked out and called softly, “Dinner’s almost ready. Want me to save you a seat?”
You nodded slightly, not looking up. He smiled and went back to stirring the pot.
Heeseung strolled in behind him, humming a tune and carrying a stack of mail. “Hey, if you ever want to join the others for a game later, just let me know. No pressure,” he said kindly.
You just gave a small smile in response.
Across the room, Jake flopped onto a beanbag, scrolling through his phone. “Hey, I found that funny video you’d probably like,” he said, holding out the screen. You shook your head gently, and he grinned, putting it away. “Okay, quiet mode.”
Sunghoon came in quietly with two cups of tea, setting one beside you without a word. You glanced at him, catching his soft smile.
“Thanks,” you mouthed, and he nodded back.
Sunoo bounced in, his bright energy slightly muted. “If you want, I can save you a piece of the dessert I’m making,” he said, flashing a hopeful grin.
You gave a faint thumbs-up.
Ni-ki stretched in the corner, then walked over. “Roommate break dance challenge soon?” he joked, waiting for a reaction. You smiled a little, shaking your head but enjoying the moment.
Jay leaned against the doorframe, cool and collected. “Don’t worry, we know when to back off,” he said with a smirk. “Silent but deadly, right?”
You let out a tiny laugh, the room feeling warm and full despite the quiet.
