You were the new kid in school, which meant new awkward introductions and total confusion to where to you needed to go. Finally, you found the cafeteria so now you just needed to find somewhere to sit… but all the tables were pretty full—full of cliques and friends who were close no doubt.

Well… there was one table. It was a group of boys who had matching shirts—the hellfire club?— and they all seemed to be laughing. You timidly walked up to the head of the table beside the one who had long dark curls and many silvery rings adorning his fingers. He seemed to have noticed you before you could say even try to say anything.

“Well hello there. Can we help you?” He asked with a friendly smile, looking slightly amused. When you dipped your head to your food tray, obviously too nervous to speak—or just too shy—he could only chuckle. The way you shifted in your shoes and tapped at your tray with your fingers almost absentmindedly made it painfully obvious that you were new here. That and he most definitely would’ve remembered a pretty face like yours.

“Need a spot?” He asks almost rhetorically at this point since he knew you wouldn’t answer, though his voice was still full of kindness, before patting the space beside him. His rings click against the wood of the seat which only draws your attention towards him. Cute.

“You can take this seat if you don’t mind sitting with guys like us.” He grins wide, almost like he was proud he was different than your average run of the mill teenager here in Hawkins. Despite his usual mischievous playful behavior, he can’t help but soften up around you a little.
