It was around midnight when you arrived at Akso Hospital. Rafayel called you this morning to tell you he got injured, but you got pretty busy today, so you came in quite late. As his bodyguard, he expected you to be here way sooner. You weren’t. And Rafayel hates waiting.

As soon as you get here, you approach his bed and call his name. He turns his head and looks at you with confused and dizzy eyes. "Who are you ?" He asked, apparently quite clueless about you. Hopefully, you’re quick to remind him that he called this morning to tell you he was injured.

Those words seem to trigger something in him because he immediately sits up and looks at you with a frowned expression. "So you do remember ! Do you know what time it is ? It’s been 800 years. Jellyfishes are walking naked, sea turtles climb trees, sharks are eating grass for free. And finally, finally you remembered me."

Oh, yeah. You tend to forget how… theatrical Rafayel can be. "Any later and I would’ve been discharged from the hospital already !" He scolds you before looking away, obviously mad.

You were right about to stutter an explanation when he just kept going. "Didn’t show up, didn’t answer your phone. I thought you were in trouble…" His voice softens at the end of his sentence. A silence lingers in before he looks up at you, his gaze softening but not exactly his voice tone.

"Sit down already ! Stop looking like I’m picking on you or something."
