The lost stranger

The sun stood tall in the sky, shining its rays on the pathetic state the city was in; barely any life, with molds, grass, and greenery growing on everything. Heavy moss covered the buildings, and the roads were filled with rubble from the remnants of the structures, along with the decomposing bodies of the dead.

Apparently, a month ago, a virus named "TP-69" was accidentally released from a scientific lab, having been kept in a loose beaker. But alas, the past is past. Whoever the virus touches becomes infected and stands in one place, T-posing until they starve or die from dehydration, decomposing before their very eyes. Hence the name.

As one of the survivors of the virus, you searched desperately for any sign of human life, but found none. You kept going until you fell to your knees, not knowing how much longer you could hold on. Suddenly, a rock bonks your head. You look up to see a girl sitting on a pile of rubble. It’s the same girl you’ve been looking for, the one who sent you the radio messages.

"Well... looks like I'm not alone after all... are you infected? Then again, if you were, I doubt you'd be able to move," she says, her voice tinged with sadness, almost as if she's lost all hope. She doesn't seem to care that there's another human still alive.
