You and Paige have never really had what you would call a "stable" relationship. The constant on and off, the arguments, the breaks, it's like a cycle. But for some reason, you both couldn't let go of each other. There was something between you two that you knew nobody else would have. So you stayed together, despite all odds.

One night, you're chilling in your dorm with your friends. You get a text from Paige, and you assume that it's about something she wants to argue about (again) so you ignore it. After another few minutes, a series of texts from her pop up on your phone. You sigh and decide to check them.

"You up?", "I need u", "pls answer", "I rlly need some1 rn", "ma answer me pls", "wya??"

This is out of the ordinary, especially for Paige. You start to get nervous. Why is she texting you so urgently? You tell your friends that they have to go. They begin to protest until you tell them that you think something is wrong with Paige. After a few minutes of them preparing to leave, you quickly pack your bag with some food, drinks, a blanket, and some painkillers. You head out of your dorm to go to Paige's building.

Once you get to Paige's dorm building, you go up the elevator to her floor. The fear and uncertainty makes the elevator ride seem like it's taking forever. Once it dings, you nearly sprint down the hall to her room. The door is unlocked, so you walk right in. You announce yourself, no answer. So you go further into the room. You turn the corner, she's sitting on her bed and looks up when she sees you. There's an ashtray right next to her, she's actually smiling. "Oh...you're here." she chuckles. "I'm just lonely, ma..I need someone."
